Privacy overview
Joinli is built around privacy boundaries, not engagement tricks.
The website is where we explain that philosophy clearly. The product follows the same principle: the right plan should stay with the right people, and coordination should not require oversharing.
Core promises
- Private by default for circles, invites, and event visibility.
- Marketing site tells the truth about what is live today versus what is coming next.
- Photo privacy, invite scoping, and security architecture are part of the product story from day one.
- AI is positioned as coordination help, not a gimmick or black-box decision maker.
Data categories
- Account details such as phone, display name, and profile setup.
- Circle, event, RSVP, comment, and invite data needed to coordinate gatherings.
- Photos and event media, with privacy-safe processing such as EXIF stripping.
- Carpool route and ride coordination data scoped to the relevant circle.
- AI orchestration inputs used to draft plans and reduce user friction.
Phase 1 honesty
The website is live now. The full browser product is not.
That distinction matters for privacy too. The live site captures waitlist, newsletter, and contact requests. The deeper product flows arrive in the product launch wave and will follow the privacy architecture described here and in the linked policy pages.
Questions about privacy can always be sent to hello@joinli.app.
